The uncompromised PowSlayer Jacket provides the highest level of stormproof performance available so you can focus on riding rather than second-guessing your gear. Made with zero limitations, the PowSlayer is built from extremely light, yet highly durable, 3-layer 100% recycled nylon ripstop GORE-TEX PRO shell fabric for the pinnacle of waterproof/breathable and windproof protection. A DWR (durable water repellent) finish increases durability and prevents wet-out in soggy, spitting conditions, and the refined fit and clean design stay out of your way so you can focus on what's ahead. The helmet-compatible, two-way-adjustable hood has a laminated visor for optimal visibility and a Cohaesive® cord-lock system, which embeds cord locks into the hood and hem to eliminate loose ends. Watertight, coated zippers with slim zip installation to reduce bulk and weight; pit zips quickly release your heat. The low-profile, fully adjustable powder gasket provides a reliable seal to keep snow and cold air outside; a webbing loop connects the powder gasket to any Patagonia® Snow pants. Pockets include two chest (one with a secure media pocket); two handwarmers; one arm pocket for your pass; one internal drop-in; and one internal stash pocket. Includes an embedded RECCO® avalanche rescue reflector. Fair Trade Certified™ sewn.

Apex shell for a discerning skier review by Patagonia Burlington Staff - Charlie on 12/24/2020Look, the $699 price tag is nothing to take lightly, but if you're the type of person who can always pick out something about your shell jacket that you'd like to change, or some way that you'd like it to perform better, the Powslayer Jacket will not disappoint you. I took the plunge a few years ago after finding that other 3-layer shells were not breathable enough, packable enough, or cut right to work the way I wanted them to alpine touring in the backcountry. With the Powslayer, I have finally found a hardshell breathable enough to wear uphill when the weather is nasty, and compressable enough to easily fit in my pack, even when I'm carrying lots of other things. The thing is burly, too -- recycled nylon ripstop does not yield to abrasion from trees, rocks, or slices from edges when hurriedly pulling skins. Again, $700 is no small number, but I plan to keep this thing for as long as I can; getting 10 years out of this jacket seems entirely reasonable, by which point I'll have completely forgotten what it cost, but not how good this shell is.

Patagonia Burlington currently ships items to all 48 contiguous states, Alaska, and Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. We also ship to Military APO / FPO addresses.
If your order meets or exceeds the amount advertised on the website, you qualify for free shipping. Choose the FREE delivery option (up to 10 business days) at checkout. This offer is valid for orders shipped to addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. The Free shipping option is not valid for orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or anywhere else outside of the lower 48 states. Free shipping orders will be shipped by the most appropriate method based on their physical size and destination.
2-Day Delivery to Alaska and Hawaii may take three days. Next-Day Delivery is available only in the continental US. Next-Day Delivery to Alaska and Hawaii may take an additional 1-2 days.
All shipping methods do not deliver on weekends, but the on business days (Mon-Fri).
We currently do not ship to International addresses.
